    Default Los Angeles Colocation?

    Hey guys,

I'm going to be doing some top secret stuff (you guys will find out later), and need a few recommendations!

1.) Los Angeles Data Center! Which is the best? (1U)
2.) Server (1U) needs at least 12~16GB RAM (Budget 1-2k)

Can anybody recommend a data center, a 1u server that I could purchase (owned server, not leased), or both.

PacificRack.com | Engineered Server Solutions - Quad Cores, Dual Cores, Private Network!

I've used them 3 times for Dedicated Servers, and each time was better than the last.

Okay, so I see they allow visitor's. Do they allow visitor server installation? Do they have access terminals? Do they provide bandwidth graphs, etc?

I wouldn't be too sure about PacificRack at the moment - some dodgy stuff going on over there right now with this QuadraNet thing.

Take a look at someone like UbiquityServers for colo

I would agree, PR is not good right now and i have heard a lot about staff problems.

Velocity Networks is way to expensive. They are 70$ per mbit, that's crazy. Anybody else have any recommendations?

Hmmm, it would be a shame if PR go down hill from now - They were always such a good provider.
